Sales/Business Development Representative (SDR/BDR)

Salary: £2,000/month base + uncapped commissions (OTE £40,000+ annually)

About Velvet Compass Consulting

Velvet Compass Consulting is a boutique consultancy specialising in high-risk industries – namely adult content, sex work, sensual services, fan platforms, and adult-tech startups. We are experts in branding, monetisation, compliance, and growth for clients in spaces where traditional marketing and business development methods fall short.

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious SDR/BDR to help fuel our next stage of growth. If you’re sharp, persuasive, and excited about selling expert services in niche industries with real earning potential, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities via cold outreach (email, social, and phone calls and in-person events)
  • Qualify leads through discovery conversations, identifying client pain points and aligning them to our consulting solutions
  • Book meetings and demos for the Principal Consultant and senior team members
  • Manage and update the CRM with precision and integrity
  • Work alongside defined marketing principles and best-practices to fine-tune messaging and outreach cadences
  • Attend industry events (virtual and in-person, including adult expos) where needed
  • Provide weekly pipeline updates and performance metrics

About You

  • You’re confident, articulate, and not afraid to initiate conversations in unconventional spaces
  • You have at least 1 year of outbound sales or lead generation experience, ideally in B2B services, digital marketing, or tech
  • You thrive on targets and love the idea of earning high commissions
  • You’re comfortable selling into sectors that are misunderstood or under-served by mainstream providers
  • You’re self-motivated, curious, and persistent – someone who sees ‘no’ as an opportunity to try another angle
  • Familiarity with CRMs (like HubSpot or Zoho) and sales engagement tools is a bonus
